EDUCATION OUTREACH

The WAterways team is engaging secondary school students in the Peel-Harvey catchment area through curriculum development and an annual competition. UWA will develop online units for Year 11 and Year 12 students, to raise awareness of local WAterways challenges and regeneration strategies. These units can also be credited towards university entry. The annual competition will involve students working with researchers to develop innovations and business plans for WAterway regeneration, fostering multidisciplinary perspectives and encouraging teamwork and community engagement.
